Hi Diki, I am now the proud owner of an FC7 footswitch and I see it is pre-programmed to plug and play. Do you have any suggestions, tips or tricks before I dive in at the deep end please. I have taken your advice and now enter the per

I think you're being overly pessimistic Diki. I don't see any evidence that the E-A7 has been "discontinued." As I stated, Roland released an OS update for it in late 2024 to maintain EU regulatory compliance. It's still available new fr

I completely agree with your sentiments Diki. Software emulations have become indistinguishable from their hardware counterparts. They are far cheaper and convenient. All you really need to make music today is investing in a Mac mini M4 or the upco

There's a huge range of Juno 60/106 (and just about every other Roland synth!) software, some of which is HIGHLY regarded for accuracy to the original. And despite Behringer being about as low a price as you can go (and unfortunately, the actions def

Ted probably didn't notice that the OP didn't say he had any particular need for a one finger system. To a hammer, everything looks like a nail..! And he was also pretty specific about his approximate price range, so completely out of the PA5X range

High price aside, I personally wouldn't buy a Pa5X right now. The release notes from the latest update suggest that there were (and probably still are) some bugs and missing features in the OS. Korg's "Advanced" chord recognition is simila

The 61 and 76 models on the Roland boards are awful. I have to use 2 hands to push down the note near the fulcrum. Even my PSR 920 is a joy to play.

I've had many different ones also. I had all the Korg models and most of the Roland. Currently I have the Yamaha 920. Great instrument, full of great sounds and styles and easy to learn. I use it for live play and it goes well. Folks enjoy the board.

the best way to learn chords is to play them correctly (Not rely on proprietary easy play features), that way you can move between the different keyboard manufactures with ease. Bill

Despite its initial release 10 years ago, the E-A7 is readily available new in the US and foreign markets. An OS update to maintain regulatory compliance was issued in 2024, so Roland still regards it a current model. The same chording system is used
