For whatever it is worth, The reason I purchased the 9000 is because I kept hearing Scott hype his 2000 and so I boogied into town and tried them both, read both manuals, and came home with the 9000 cause it was marked way down. I now have all the styles from the kn5000 in it as well and I could not be persuaded for any reason to make a change at this time. The kn6000 and the yamaha 9000 are happily co-existing side by side in my recording studio and we are all smiling all the time, even my wife and dog Rocky
