You are not imagining it - the X1 had 64 note polyphony too, and there were serious dropouts. The PSR9000 has almost double that ammount, and the same problem exists. It seems the new line up of kb's do not allocate polyphony as efficiently as the old guys. I have a 32 note Korg that handles the task better too. Not all that glitters is gold, right? Certain voices are more "selfish" than others - do a little editing and you'll free up some room to play.
