I have at least 100 sequences that were done on the old Ensoniq SD-1. Most were quite good (if I say so myself, lol). Here is my problem. I purchased the Giebler Sotware utilities for converting the non-gmf sequences to midi. Purchased it in November, 04. I really haven't used it, but have decided to get busy with it. I've tried contacting Gary Giebler for the last 4 days with no success - I'm hoping he's on vacation or something and not just ignoring me. Here are the 2 main issues:
1. Giebler Utilities are formatted for an Epson printer (it's a DOS based program). His instructions say to contact him for printer formatting if the printer doesn't work. My printer does nothing when I attempt to print anything from the utilities program.
2. All of my sequences contain the same Ensoniq drum track (it was called "Kitchen Sink"). I always put my drum track on track 1 in all sequences. Although I can convert the sequences, the midi conversion requires revoicing, and the drum track has me stumped. For one thing, I'd have to move it to track 10 on the KN7000, don't know how to do that. Secondly, I'm assuming that I'd have to remap it, which is something I've never done. Sort of stuck - any help would be appreciated.
