I've owned a ton of arranger boards over the years. At the moment I'm taken with Yamaha and am on an "old" country kick. Even tho' the 2100 has styles that approximate what's heard on recordings, I still can't find authentic-sounding older country styles, such as walking bass line, droning steel guitar, fiddle licks, Kramer piano fills, etc... And where do programmers get their "style" ideas anyway? Do they study the air waves to see what's being played? Have most of the them played in live bands, so that they have a sense of what each instrument does within a given style? Just wonderin'.
