I am not going to comment on the playing or singing (all of which were fine ) but make a few quick comments about the sound... Firstly, the piano picked by Donny is NOT the GrandX TOTL piano in the G70. In fact, it's a poor one even by G1000 standards. There are a lot of 'holdover' sounds in the G70 to ensure compatibility with earlier sequences and styles, and it sounds like Donny picked one of those that pre-date even the G1000 (who's best piano A11 isn't even in the G70).

Secondly, Donny had his G70 quite a while ago, before OS3 completely re-vamped the styles...

But finally, and most troublingly, I can't find that style in my G70's ROM. Admittedly, I am now at OS3, but I don't remember any of the styles getting replaced wholesale, more just EQ and sound adjustments to them. This leads me to believe that the style Donny might be playing was an import. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I just played every waltz in the ROM (there aren't actually very many ) and I couldn't find that style.

Now, if it IS an import (an older G1000 style or even earlier), unless you tweak it in the Makeup Tools, it will continue to address the old G1000 or even earlier sounds. Which is what, IMO, it is still doing. Once again, forgive me if I'm wrong, Donny, but every single sound in that demo sounded Sound Canvas...

And, if I AM wrong, and it IS a ROM style, trust me... they have changed them SO much, I can't even recognize that style! But, to my ears, that sounds a LOT more like a G800 or so than a G70. Not the best piano, not the best drums, not the best anything, honestly.

Once again, I repeat... I am making NO comment whatsoever about the playing OR the singing... simply about whether this is representative of the SOUND of the G70.
