rikkisbears,
Hmm ... this new feature (RIFF) comes close. When you play any song with a style, the arranger 'monitors' your playing mode/sequence (chord changes, velocity). When you go to Arranger "D" (if RIFF is available for that style), the arranger will then play a melodic line (using complex chord progressions comon to that particular style, plus incoorporating the chord sequences you just played and the melodies you played with the lead, changing chords and adding lead lines by itself and you can now play lead parts and lower parts irrespective of the arranger. Ofcouse to avoid 'over crowding' parts are instanlty mutted when you start playing again. You can no longer control the chords and this permits you to play 'freely' through the keyboard. RIFF depends from style to style and in some cases can be as long as 16-32 measures long! When you go out of RIFF into Arranger (A-C), the arranger now recognizes your chords once more!

So, even though it kinda doesn't play by itself, it kinda does!
