As I recall, McEnroe paid fines in proportion to the size of the prize back in those days ...
The major difference today compared to 20 years ago is the level of media exposure ANY incident by ANYONE gets ... and how the media continues to feed on something long after it is newsworthy ... or at least until some other trash incident occurs ...
