When performing a WRITE operation to disk, any disruptance in power/connection could cause one to loose some files or have incomplete files in the HD. When AUDYA is then re-booted, it tries to read these 'currupt' files and hence gives you a currupt display/interpretation of what was read.

FORMATTING the HD is like formatting that of a computer. You loose everything and having no backup means you do not have access to the data that was once on the HD. The styles you downloaded from the website are the bonus styles but not the original AUDIO STYLES from AUDYA. The audio guitars are assigned to each style once loaded but if you are missing the styles and audio drums and bass (that reside in the HD), then you'll need to get these first, otherwise, all you can do with your AUDYA (as it now stands) is play midi styles, midifiles, wave and mp3 songs!!

Thanks,

AJ
