interesting idea, like trigger the extra layers via velocity or something?
I'm no expert, but I still think with arranger playing you still need to have some sort of control over what you play.

SD1+ had some sort of velocity function that changed the style somehow, never could get it to work, or else it was so subtle my tinny ear didn't pick up on it. Can't quite remember what it was supposed to do.
