Just received my first shipment. The new White finish is beautiful. It's a more cream white and the wood grain comes through the side panels. Makes this keyboard look beautiful in a home or House of Worship.
Here's whats new:
First, Yamaha has included the Grand Piano called CFIII which is the same piano used in the P-105. This is a raw, uncompressed voice which is magnificent to hear.
Next, Yamaha finally got it together and although there is still only one Headphone/Output stereo 1/4" Jack you can now select to have the internal speakers stay on when attaching a cable to a stereo or mono sound system. This is big for those needing to play out and still be able to monitor using the internal speakers.
Next, you can record and playback .wav files from a USB thumb drive and of course playback standard midi files from the USB drive as well.
There is a new function called "smart chord" which when turned on with a button allows you to choose a key and a style genre so that when you play a single note the chords played will actually be modified to have a more complex variation of notes within the chord to sound more exciting. So when you play in say a Jazz Mode in the key of C and you play a C on the left hand only, you will actually be playing a CM79 and when you play F only you will see and hear F69 and so on.
Polyphony is now 128 instead of 64.
There is a stereo mini audio input jack on the back for connecting iPods, etc.
All and all a great new addition with great new features.
