Well, a workstations like the Motif comes with almost 7000 arpgeggios, i guess that is almost just as much content as 500 styles.

However.... I must admit that even with 4 arps and a drumtrack, you dont even get close to a style... And i do agree with you styles are like a little miracle of music when it comes to real time controll...
