I hear you about the 'security' thing ... when I moved to Rhode Island and left the band in NY - after 26 years playing together - I didn't play a gig for seven years ... my wife knew how much I loved playing and convinced me to get some business cards made up and try to get some gigs ... the first place I auditioned for hired me and I have been working ever since - 23 years - ... not as much as some of the guys here, but enough to keep me happy ...
