The quality is excellent when you set it up correctly. First and foremost, set the recording volume down to 7o, which prevents overdriving and keeps things crisp and clear. Also, before recording, set the style volume down to about 80, which seems to help bring the vocals to the forefront, of course, this means you must route your vocals through the keyboard, which has an excellent vocal processor. Everything else will depend upon how you set your global EQs, etc... Essentially, what the recorder provides is a mirror image of what your audience hears. I've done dozens of recordings using the USB recorder and IMO, the quality is superb.

Good luck,

Gary cool
