Yo Gary, I'm a Alexa guy as well. My son gave me an Echo Show 8" and a 5" for my bedroom. Like Don, I put it on my phone, one tablet, and my office computer (a all-in-one with camera). We already had done skype, duo, hangout, and a few others I've forgotten about. He gave them (the two Echo's) to me for Xmas and we've used it twice since then (the two days after Xmas). I still use it to keep a running shopping list and for appointment/event reminders but google assist does just as good or better job smile. Technology is nice; too MUCH of it just confuses old folks smile. The secret is to settle on one thing and tune out all the other 'next trending' things. One thing I've discovered; I don't really like talking to people over these things - they always call when I haven't shaved, combed my hair, or put in my teeth smile. My son and I almost always just phone each other, we don't even text. BUT, I guess they're nice if you need to quickly know the capital of Australia (Canberra, by the way smile )...or you could ask Google Assist, or maybe you could have just stayed awake in geography class.

And NO! I don't want to be on anybody's Alexa Contact list smile.

chas (getting overwhelmed by technology)
