I guess that implies the opposite of "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again." So, if I sit down at a keyboard several times in a perhaps fruitless attempt to play a piece with more precision, am I insane or just striving for Carnegie Hall?



If you sit down to pratice with more precision then you are not doing the same thing over and over. You are at least trying to change.
