Why make the music stand clear! So the audience can easily see that you are using lead sheets? That's odd.

Wow now I'm curious here. After looking at this picture Yammie has no excuse for not answering their fans call for a 76 key Tyros. They still kept that open slot to the right for floppies????? They could easily add a few more keys there. Seriously do they expect people to stack up a crap load of smart media cards on that little shelf???? The purpose of the smart card is to eliminate clutter you'd have using floppies.

Anyways I can't wait until the release of the 2nd model. Then I'm going to watch happily as the prices for the current model go down, and then I'll be a happy Tyros 1 owner

I think it looks fine and I am thrilled it still has the drink holder. I will be glad when it is on the market in the US. I will happily sell my existing Tyros.

Hi Tony,

Thanks. First I need to find out if 2 uses the same stand, Yamaha speaker system and hard drive. Actually I have a whole room full of stuff I am considering selling. Lots of Studio equipment, Roland samplers, Yamaha rack modules, signal processing equipment, Tascam tape recorders and mixers and even a Hammond organ or 2. Most of it has seen studio use only. Much of it is not shown in these pictures. http://dskittlethorp.photosite.com/Dans_studio/

According to some "insiders" at another forum, the Tyros2 has its own special speakers. They look just like the original Tyros speakers but they are not the same. They are more powerful, and possibly have different connectors. So, the original Tyros speakers will not work on the Tyros2. This is what I've read.

Also according to some "insiders" resource,Tyros2 has no Smartmedia Card slot.It has two USB to Device port, one at front(near "drink holder"), another at the back.
