Hi, just wanted to ask you a few questions about the 630. I saw your price and that is what concerns me. I have a PSR540 which is of the newer PSR series. What is the difference between the 540 and the 630 that really sets them apart. I didn't pay anything near $750.00 for mine and I bought it brand new with the adapter, pedal and headphones. The 540 has MANY of the same features as the 630, plus the sound quality is a little better. Not trying to knock the 630 because it is a good keyboard. The price you're asking seems a little high considering the board is no longer in production and they have done so much more with the PSR 540,640 and 740. Any help would really be appreciated...

Thanks,
Squeak

Dude, there is a big difference in quality, my best friend has the 540 and you say it sounds better?? No way. The 630 sold new for $1000.00, and there are many places on the net still selling them for $879.95 without the footpedal and power supply. Check out the link I left for the options it has or ask yamaha and they will tell you the definate advantages of the 630.

I understand your point, but I guess it just falls down to personal opinion. I feel the 540 is a little more crisp than the 630, and that's because I've done a lot of studio work and owned and played many keyboards. As far as price I've seen them on the net for $799.00 (Brand new and unopened) with everything included and several of the stores in my area sell them for that price as well. Some stores are selling them for less too because they are discontinued. It's like my Yamaha EX-7 I have. Yamaha just recently discontinued the EX series and I bought mine just 3 months ago for $1,450.00, and I know it's price will go down soon too. When the 540 came out it was selling for close to $800 in most places. Hell some were selling it for $825.00 and that was just last year. Now the thing is selling for $499.00 with everyting included, and I also have seen it as low as $479.00 Never trust the net prices!!!! I ran across a server today that had the original DJX listed for $799.00 too. I almost fell out of my seat when I saw this. I bought mine brand new for under $300.00. I hope I didn't offend you by my questions. I've been playing for years and even ran a music store a few years ago, so I know the whole sale prices on many keyboards and what's considered a reasonable price for used gear. Again sorry if I offened you..

The PSR 630 was $1000 ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO. NOW IT IS VERY OUTDATED. YOU CAN ALMOST GET A MOTIF RACK MOUNT FOR WHAT YOUR ASKING. I SAY $500 TOPS.

You can find new conditions PSR-2000s for that price, and the 2000 is light years ahead of the 630.

Good Luck,

Gary
