Hello Everyone,

Every year my band records a Christmas CD of our some of our favorite songs of the season. Please click HERE for a Christmas greeting including several of the songs from this year’s CD. I hope you enjoy the music and even more importantly, have a GREAT Christmas!

Best Regards,

Great recordings Dave. I loved them. And Laura really gives them a polished vocal treatment. Thanks so much for sharing those with us. They were all fantastic performances.

Dave, wonderful music! BTW the links don't work on Firefox, so had to use IE.
What is the instrumentation used?
Thanks,
DonM

Nice Holiday music and thanks for sharing.
To DonM: Thanks for the tip with Firefox. It's kind of rare that a link won't work with it. I like Firefox a lot better than EI. I haven't tried EI7 yet though.
Happy Holidays to all!

I did install IE7 yesterday, but only used it that one time so far. I like Firefox a lot, but there is the occasional incompatibility.
Thanks Dave for the FF links!

Hi Don,

The band is typically a four piece consisting of drums, bass guitar, sax/flute and piano/organ/other. For this recording we also brought in a trumpet player. The big band horn parts on Sleigh Ride were done using just the two horn players (several overdubs). And other than the Hammond parts in a couple of the songs and the vocals of course, the rest is keys; Promega 3 doing the acoustic piano and Rhodes parts and the Genesys Pro S covering strings, bells, harp, etc.

Best Regards,

Dave

Thanks for the songs Dave. Great stuff..

Merry Christmas to you and yours Dave!

Don't be a stranger ya' hear?

BTW, any chance of any new Arranger products showing up at winter NAMM Dave?

>> The saying; "No news is good news" doesn't seem to apply to new product developments, especially so near to Christmas.

Is there a possibility of a new Genesys/PRO successor waiting in the wings and ready to be released in the near future, maybe at winter NAMM 2007? Any other up and coming arranger products in the works from GEM? Please let us know, if you can do so Dave.

Best regards,
Mike

I take it that means no, huh?

Your lips are sealed I guess. Well, I suppose we'll have to find out for ourselves after NAMM kicks off. Or if there is nothing from GEM then..

Best regards,
Mike

Nice to see that the head guy of an arranger company still prefers to play and record with a real band......!

Very nice sounds and playing..... LOVED Sleigh Ride!

Now if you are ever in the FL panhandle and want to add a trombone......

Oops, forgot to respond to that. Sorry.

No new arrangers at the moment. However we are not showing up empty handed in the ‘what’s new and exciting’ department. We will be showing the new ‘X Series’ expander modules along with our other products. Both modules are powered by our DRAKE processor which is the same processor used in the Promega series and RP/pRP series digital pianos. Both modules are half-rack space in size with a very easy user interface and are accompanied by a PC visual editor to control the deeper functions. The RP-X is dedicated to acoustic piano and vintage electro-acoustic keyboards featuring the same physical modeling technology of our professional stage pianos. The GM-X is a General MIDI compatible module that again takes advantage of the power of DRAKE to offer some of the best sounds available for multi-timbral use.

I am very excited about finally being able to offer the incredible piano sounds of the Promega series in a sound module. Many people have been asking for this for quite some time so I think it will be a real hit. The RP-X has already started shipping in Europe and the response has been excellent.

Best Regards,

Dave

Well, I am far from the head of the company, but thanks just the same!

We were going to hire a t-bone player for Sleigh Ride, but he couldn't make it to the studio on the night we had set aside for running down the horn parts, so the trumpet player said "I think I can do something that will work". He pulled out his flugelhorn and proceeded to cover the lower parts quite nicely. But you never know, I may make it down to Florida one of these days and be in the need for the real thing.

I glad you enjoyed the tunes. Have a great holiday!

Best Regards,

Dave
