Members are complaining that the forum is kind of slow now. There have been a few ideas why but none have hit the nail on the head.

It is Uncle Dave's fault.

When I first joined the forum Uncle Dave was trading equipment and keyboards every other day. His new loves were all over the place like cow s**t in a barn. His tirades about his opinion on "K" (I don't dare say the whole word) were legendary. Now all of us tip toe around the word "gig" thanks to Uncle Daves rantings. He even told us that he thinks he can sing. We used to set up pools on when Uncle Dave would dump his newest keyboard love. Fran used to goat Uncle Dave on in his sly dry manner. Donny used to give him tips. Uncle Dave used to try to cheat Boo on equipment deals. Alas, now all of that has changed.

Uncle Dave's love has changed from music to a woman. It happens to the best of them. Along comes the girl and everything changes. Now Uncle Dave is singing to his new love.

We miss the old Uncle Dave but life goes on!

Tom

Has to be it. After all, it's inconceivable that UD would run out of opinions ....

As the French say "Cher chez laFemme". Now her opinions will become his opinions.

You all have to remember, UD is no longer a sole proprietor, he is now a partnership, as such, he is subject to all of the rules of partnerships.....every thing must be brought to the attention of all the partners for approval including but not limited to news and publicity releases. So, notwithstanding the fact that there has been a change in ownership the company that was UD will now with all probability, undergo a structural
and management change...perhaps a new CEO.
However, I'm sure that overall state of the
company will continue to produce good music and continued harmony. This may be a good investment opportunity, I wonder what the stock is selling for?

Jon,

I don't know what a RD700SX is, but if it were worth having, the old Uncle Dave would have had it and dumped it by now.

It's the new Roland that just came out. Maybe he's going to trade the new bride in for one. I doubt it though, due to the fact that the RD700sx isn't technically an arranger.

Hey, cut our buddy Dave a little slack...he's just working on his "rythem" and "timing".
