I just bought a second hand EM-2000. It's in a very good condition and sounds great (really!!), but the manual procedure to eject the ZIP-disk doesn't work!. Anyone experienced this problem or has some hints to solve this problem? Can it be removed manually? If so, how?

I just bought a second hand EM-2000 too.
About ejecting discs, floppy disc may be ejected manually, as you do in a computer.
But zip drive must be unmounted before pressing the eject button. You cannot eject a zip disk without unmounting it first. It is in pag. 17 of Em2000 manual.

Dear Artaher,

I unmounted the zip-drive as indicated in the manual on page 17 of the manual (Disklist --> F4 --->upper2 --->lower1 (the manual says here upper2 once more, but the lower1 blinks!!). After this procedure, the zip drive is unmounted, but the eject button fails to eject the drive.

The EM2000 should eject the zip disk by holding the ejection button in and powering up..
Internally , there is a pin hole in the back end of the drive to release the disk, but you should not have to do this if your drive is getting power..

Dear Fran,

Thanks for your suggestions.
Trying the first one (powering up while pressing the eject button): I hear some clicks (probably the zip-drive trying to eject the disk), but the disk doesn't eject
The second one: I suppose I have to dismantle the EM-2000 to reach the back-side, because the zip-drive is an internal one ... a little bit risky?

i had problems with zip too, my Roland VA76 couldnt read my Zip , what i did was put it in the computer and computer fixed it,(but you wouldnt be able to put yours into computer because you cant eject it)
i dont know what is your problem with the Zip, i think its a hard ware failure,
does your em-2000 read the disk , does it load/save Styles/songs?
