i'm improvizating something very special and cool and if i don't record it, tomorrow i'm gonna forget everything..what should i do?

Push the record button on the VA ,,,and then save to Zip or floppy as a Standard midi file..

Claudiu, you have to start looking in the manual...then when someone answers your questions, you will have a better understanding..

it's just gonna record the up1..

anyways i lost my idea ..i recorded the up1 on the casio..maybe i'll remember tomorrow

Claudiu, listen to what "older men have to say and learn" as Fran himelf told you...look at the manual.
I found the best place to study a manual is in the toilet, and I am serious!!!!!
It offers silence and solitude, two important qualities in the learning process of every matter.

Here's what I suggest: Read the manual as it was a novel. Start at the first page and read up to the very last page. In the end you will have a pretty good idea of what it is all about and the good part is that even if you don't remember a procedure, you usually remember where to find the relevant information.

I hope the above doesn't look like a shi@tty idea!!!!!

Lol trident..i'm used to reading the manual while pressing the buttons... is it possible to read the book in a few hours ? i've had the kb for 2 months now and i barely read 50 pages..sorry for my mediocre posts but i'm at school and i'm stressed..forums aren't allowed

Claudiu, Version2 is the updated version with major improvements..
From the factory it will have an orange emblem[sticker] on the left side of the keyboard..

There is an update available , but I have been unable to locate it..

I want to save the Version2 update for future use[I know I will get another VA, but I want a Version2]..

If you don't have Version 2, don't worry about it..If I don't tell you the differences...you won't miss them..

Keep a 25 dollar old cassette recorder in your studio or near where you usually play. I can't tell you how many times one of these has been so helpful in me retaining ideas. Just a simple regular cassette recorder with the built in mic from radio shack for about 25 bucks will do.

I keep mine loaded with a tape. Then days later I can play it back, then record it or sequence it properly.

what is it now..major improvements or not a difference?

right now i'm chatting with my friends from romania...and that's why i can't read...but i'll have to go to the bathroom in a very short time cause i can't hold it anymore and maybe i'll have a chance of reading a little bit ))

Claudiu, Version 2 allows variphrase to be used in the left hand side in split mode as well as the styles...The original only allows the right side..

It also has new touch screen options and additional button uses..

And the feature I liked most..the ability to write [add lyrics to SMF..easily]...This feature also allows Version 2 to read text files..

There are a few other changes..

in this case i might have the version 2...i can use the variphrase with my left hand..i used it a while ago while playing with a user style.... + i can put lyrics as well..

well that's why i hate the manual...I am looking for " editing styles " and i can't find anything....just editing 16 track songs..but i want to edit the styles inside the va..

as i said before i want to copy styles on a zip disk when playing with the girl...and then edit them ...the copying thing ...is it
" Copying existing files " ? ( i choose to copy them on the zip disk because i don't want to modify anything to my va ) and the other thing is editing user styles.. ?

For all the people who know the story with the girl...what should i do...copy styles into zip disk or into user prg ?
