gotta agree with you there Donny. I even have all my songs originally programmed for the pa1x, as well as vocal sets, songook sets, my styles etc etc, still stored away, so if I switch, it could be ready to go within about an hour! I must admit I do miss the Korg, a LOT!!
cheers

Yes it is cool isn't it!! rudi said his Korg contact still hadn't got back from China, so a price is not available as yet, but I've pretty much decided that sd is getting "Das Boot" to be replaced by the PA2x..I am at the point now where I will accept pretty much what an ebay buyer will pay for the sd, and just put the loss down to experience...

hi hellboy,
I dont know and rudi wouldnt say, just that they are now available from the Korg distributor...i should be able to know by monday, but it won't be cheap, the original pa1xpro was $6995, but with the added competition from roland and yamaha it should be less than that..... I reckon we can take a guide from the pa800, which apart from some hardware is essentially the same, so I would estimate about $1200-1500 over the pa800, and you can get them for about 3200-3400 last time I looked.

Well I just bought my Pa1xPro Elite for $4995 from Billy Hydes about 2-3 months ago.

I new "something" was coming from Korg, but I needed a new Board urgently.

With a price like that (for an Elite with all the options) I'm really happy!

just a bit of an update, more a clarification really...I am told now that the initial shipment is "on the water" (not at the distributors yet) and will be here about mid-november, so a little more patience is required....

30 days will go in a flash!!!! Looking forward to trying a pa2x in Sydney Aus! Time to update??? (sigh) Korg or Roland? But then, the 9000PRO is still going fine - a great work-horse. I am looking to update my PA to EV SxA360 but nobody stocks them.

Donny, thanks for the info link. I am looking forward to comparing it to the Roland (of course using the 9000Pro as the standard, te he!).

I just listened to the samples of the PA2x. There's no question the Tyros 2 has better sounds individually. But there's something better about the overall sound of the Korg. Is it the mixing? the drums? the bass? I haven't worked it out yet, but I wish Yamaha would get its act together...

Hi Dennis,
congratulations. Bet you can't wait.

For some reason I thought you'd owned a PA800 at some stage? or was it actually the PA1x? From some of the stuff I've been reading, it gives the impression the PA800 is a scaled down version of the PA2x with not quite as many features & of course only 61 notes.

best wishes
Rikki

Just recieved the latest Billy Hydes Catalog (Aussie music store) and the PA2X is listed there:

$6999.00 (Australian Dollars).

Too rich for my blood (even with a cash negotiation) but anyone who need a new board and has the cash should go for it I believe.

I'm pleased with my PA1x Elite and will probably even put up a (fairly redundant lol) Review shortly if I get the time....
