When I start the tyros2, it comes up fine but then an error message appears saying:

"A certain voice has not loaded correctly."

It never tells me which one or anything...

No other problems to speak at all...

Ideas?

Thanks-

Bill

Do you have extra RAM inserted into your T2 ?

Without Xtra memory there is only 4 Mbytes to store/load voices. It looks like your T2 runs out of memory while loading voices.

Please chck memory using :
Voice Creator button
Select Custom Voice Bank Edit
Select Property (right lower corner at display)
A window pops up and tells you details.

Hi Bill

Itīs because the T2 canīt find your custom voices. Maybe you have them on a memory stick?

I did what you suggested and got this info:

Memory Status

Wave RAM MB - 1 (3 available)
Voice Edit RAM KB - 26
Wave count - 0
Waveform count - 0

I have no idea what any of that means...

Just got this yesterday. I had a full days both yesterday and today...I haven't touched the cdrom at all...

Is that part of the problem?

This is a problem with those new voices floating around that came out of Germany. Try deleting ALL those voices and try booting again. I don't know which voice is the culprit, but it's not loading correctly.

I would suspect a factory reset will take care of this. Turn it off. Hold down the highest C key. While holding it down turn on the keyboard and continue holding for a few seconds.

Hope that does the trick.

Would you need to back up any important data before you do a Factory Reset?

Just a thought.......

Bill:

I own and operate a T2 loaded with HD and 1 Gig in Ram, I almost 99.98% sure, that what happen it was that how owned previously, deleted the TVNs/sounds from the HD and when you booth on (turn it on), the keyboard looks for those samples/voices/TVNs, and because it does not find them, that is why you get that message.
It happen to me at the beguining, whem I loaded the sound from my USB drive, what should I have done is: copy the TVNs into a folder in my HD, THEN, procedd to independent load to a location on my user voices, that way, the keyboard looks for the Path that made when it was loaded the sound, so, if someone deletes the sounds/TVNs, from the HD, that is what happen.
My advise to you, is to get/buy the sounds of your preference, copy them into the HD, then load them, later, you may use those sound for either your registrations, or even the styles.
One thing you should be aware, depending in how many and how large the size of each voice, this makes the keyboard to take more time to booth on.
If you have any questions, email me

Usually only get this pop up when a custom voice is loaded improperly. Don't know what you been doing in regards to customs voices, but you should be able to correct and remove this warning by pressing voice creator (to the right of function) push edit work your way to the screen showing whats loaded, should find one thats showing but not loaded. highlite.... hit delete ..ok.....should do the trick....pose

EDIT: forgot to say you probably need to be in the user area since it has no hardrive:EDIT
