Friends,
someone has just asked me to play for a birthday party this coming weekend. The audience is mostly kids under 15 (and perhaps their parents). I have no problem playing the parets' music, but what would you play for the kids?

Hi Alex. The 'Happy Birthday Song' is always a WINNER no matter 'what' the age. In addition to doing it in traditional 3/4, I like to do it in a uptempo 4/4 dance beat as well. On the Tyros, I've used the following contempo styles for this: Disco Teens, Dream Dance, Latin Disco 2, or a Pop Shuffle Rhythm. Have fun experimenting. - Scott
