You have been a great help , as you all have.

I truly don`t know what or when I will get a new KB , but taking my time seems to be the best way to go right now.

The Pa800 is still on my list , as is the E-80.

So , who knows !! &

Maybe I`ll get an electric harmonica !!! LOL

Take care, later ,

Gary just ignore all these shortcoming of the S-series units we are all reading & hearing about .....try to make every effort to drive out to places you can get you hands on some of the other units even if they are far & make a choice FOR YOUR NEEDS!

Hi Dave ,

Thanks for the Garage Band info !!

I really haven`t done much with it , I do know you can get a bunch of different "Jam Pac`s" to go with it.
No , I didn`t know it could do all the stuff you mentioned , thanks again.

Hey Donny,

That is really good advice , I just wish the music stores in my area had more to check out.

If i wanted a synth , no problem , but if you want an arranger in NH , your pretty much out of luck.

I even called some of the music stores around Boston and the same thing " we can order it for you , but we don`t stock arrangers"

What is about arrangers and New England ???

O___well , thanks again for ALL your help , I really do appreciate the info and suggestions you guys have given.

Take care , and believe me , you folks will be the second to know that I finally made up my mind and what arranger I end up with !!

Of course , you might be the first , as I might still be in shock !! LOL

Thanks again,
Gary

Trust me, Gary, this isn't a NE thing, it's a global thing!

A short word of recommendation... I've seen new G70's in the same price range as PA800's, and great condition used ones from as little as $1800. The G70, while not as up-to-date as an E80, has an OS that is nearly as complete as the E80 (and what flaws exist affect both keyboards), is actually 5 lb. or so lighter, and has the best 76 action on the planet (WSs included!).

E80's OTOH, are still fetching top dollar, and, IMO, don't justify the extra $2000 USD or so that they cost. For that $2k you save, you can get a LOT of other, needed stuff like a PA (or a car!). Plenty of good demos at roland-arranger.com (and some not-so-good!)... Don't count it out

Hey guys - another nice feature on the S900 is the ability to play a wave file directly from the USB stick. I'm not sure if this feature is available on the T2. I'm not at home and can't confirm this, but I think you might have to import the wave to the hard drive first to play it back on the T2.

By the way, I just subjected my S900 to a lengthy "road test". I put it in my van and drove it from FL to MD. I am going to plug it in today and do a check. Hopefully, all systems are still "go".

Success!! All systems "GO"! I really had no doubts. Although I must say that my cats crawling on the box and the 16 hour drive have renewed my confidence in the quality of my board.

The board is just terrific! I honestly love the portability and the sounds of the S900.

Rubber buttons – problems with the S900 – having doubts.

If you stay with that kind of thinking you are going to miss one great keyboard. For the dollars I am more than pleased. Without going into each feature, the overall sound leaves the PSR3k behind by a large margin. (My opinion, and I KNOW hahaha, joke, joke, no excitement here)

I had a 3K for a while so I do know the keyboard. After doing some recording with and without vocal on the S900 I just sit and smile, it sounds great.

My thought --- put your fears and comments away and buy – if not, turn the page.

Happy S900 camper, John C.
