Just wondering if anyone is still using the logitech 2200's for small jobs - i have an opportunity right now to purchase either a Z-2200 or the 5300 . . .
These would be for smaller jobs - price for 5300 is only $30 more, wondering if i should go for that one?? I do like the lightweight/easy setup of the smaller one . . .
I had to cancel my order I had on the 560's, as they ran out of stock, and i got tired of waiting! So, i'm back to shopping . . .

I am using the z2200. I have two. One had a screw break off but it's still usable, actually.

How much are you finding for z2200 price? And for the 5300? I might can help you find a better price. That would be the factor for me. You'll get better sound out of the 5300. But the z2200 does work fine.

I also have two sets. One is on my comuter, the other in the garage on standby. I do use it occasionally for small jobs and it works fine.
(That means there are Four sets within a few miles of each other in "rural" north Louisiana!)

I can't give you any feedback on the 2200s, but I do use the 5300s and they are great. I do not play large venues, most of my gigs are under 100 people. I find them easy enough to transport and they have the power I need. For the extra $30, IMHO I'd get the 5300s. Check this link out Gary has come up with a great way to easily transport the Logitechs. http://www.psrtutorial.com/Resources/musictips.html

I am still using the Z2200s. The picture posted by Donny is a picture of the Z5500s. I think this picture is Gary's setup.

I don't think you are going to beat that. That's pretty low. In fact, that might be refurbished. Which is fine, as long as it has warranty.

Jill,

Go for the Z-5300, or better yet, the Z-5500. Better mid range, fuller sounds overall, and the prices keep coming down. You'll love what you hear.

I have the Z2300 and it does a great job when I use it. I think I paid 199 at best buy and then got a 30 rebate.
