I think the thing to note is that only considerable time on an arranger will bring the ease of use question to a reasonable answer........
I am STILL finding new ways of doing things on my G70 nearly a year after getting it, and refining how I do things on stage, and Roland seem to be fairly good at addressing the users requests for features to make it even more so........
The new E80 has finally addressed the One Touch issues (ALL styles, not just custom internal ones, can now have an associated OTS setting programmed in) and all G70 owners are hoping that Roland will be able to implement this in a future OS update (they have definitely added many completely brand new features since the G70s introduction, so hopefully this can be added.......).
This is going to add another major level of ease to on stage work.
As we are beginning to see, only a fair amount of time in a store messing around with a new arranger gives you the first inkling of how easy it is to operate 'live' (Fran and dnj are beginning to see what I've been saying for nearly a year, now) but only several months of trying to figure out the BEST way for how YOU use the arranger will lead to the most efficient path...........
