HankB's wife, Linda, is having triple bypass surgery Tuesday. They are my closest friends. I hope everyone will keep them in your hearts and prayers.

My own wife, Hilary, had a quadruple bypass nearly 5 years ago and we have been eternally grateful to modern heart surgery ever since. She has been able to live a more normal life ever since.
I am sure that there are others among our members here who have also been through this very common modern heart problem who will also agree that their life is so much better.
Our thoughts in the meantime go out to Linda and Hank for a speedy recovery.

My Mother had the balloon inserted treatment maybe 8 years or so ago. It didn't work. A few months later she went in and had by-pass and she's been doing as well as an 87 year old can expect. It seems that by-pass surgery has a real good chance of being successful for most people.
