Does anyone have these or know where I can order a pair? Sam Ash didn't have them, nor did they know they even existed. The EV number on it is SxZB. Thanks!

I have a pair of EV bags that are made for the SX300's but I didn't try them on the sxA100's yet. The heat sink may be too big, and might stick out.
I use the bags that Mackie made for the SRM450's - they're great because you can store cables and the little angle feet in the pockets. They also have lots of handles and an opening to grab the molded handle on the speaker itself.
I carry all the wires I need to power it up in the same bag ..... it's a beautiful thing.
Even if the EV bags will fit .... you still need to carry at least two cables per speaker. One for AC, and the other for signal.

What do those SxA100 gig bags look like and how much do they cost? Got a wesite link with picture? I already store ALL cables (EV PA, keyboard, mic) conveniently in a single separate bag and would think having to put each of the SxA100 speakers into its own separate gig bag to be an un-needed hassle and increase gig setup/breakdown time. I find the SxA100's pretty ruggedly built and already come with their own built in ergonimic carrying handles so having to store them in their own gig bag just seems like more work. Am I wrong?

There is no WRONG if it's good for you, but I hate scratched gear and I don't like my stuff getting wet either. I have ALWAYS used high quality cases for all my gear .... no matter how light or small. I even have the speaker stands in a vinal carry bag. The added setup time is very minimal, and protects the gear. As a matter of fact ... having the right protection means that you can load & unload faster without worrying about scratches, tears etc. Maybe it SAVES time.Hmmmmm?

While we're on the subject, I'd like to know how any of you control the volume of these speakers during live performance (i.e. foot pedal), or do you simply adjust from the volume dial on the keyboard, assuming no mixer is used (keyboard plugged right into the SxA100's) Thanks!

When I bought my SxA100s, I had never seen or worked with "active speakers" and did not realize that they need some kind of pre amp. So, at a dinner music gig I plugged directly from the Ketron X1 into the EVs. I had to max out the EV's volume controls as well as turn the X1 all the way up to be heard in that kind of setting. Thank goodness this was not at a "dance" venue. I would never have gotten away with it. After posting a plea on this forum, Uncle Dave and others got me pointed in the right direction. In order to keep my gig rig as small as possibe I located and bought a Behringer MX 602A. This gives me the pre amped signal needed and all kinds of control.
When I use my Yamaha 9000 Pro (no onboard speakers for monitors), I take a Peavey Escort which acts as monitor-mixer-preamp etc.

Does the mixer have to be powered? I have a 6 channel Peavey powered "head" with EQ and effects controls. I guess I could use that without the power, eh? I also have a Tascam 424 4-track recording unit that I could use, do you think? Are you saying that you couldn't get the Sxa100's loud enough when you went directly from the X1? Thanks for helping me!

Right. The EVs need a preamped signal (except for very small venues). If your PA head (powered mixer) has a monitor out that should work. One other setup I use with the 9000 Pro is a Roland Cube keyboard amp that has an output jack marked (Pre Out). I point the Cube at me for monitoring and send a signal to one of the Evs then "daisy chain" the second EV to the first one via the XLR in - outs. This of course is mono only. However, The little Behringer (costing less than $70.00 new) has proven to be a practical solution when I use the keyboard's (X1) built in speakers for monitoring purposes.
