There's also a link to this on the Temptations thread, but anyway. . .
These are random songs, recorded live, full of mistakes, and some of the levels are wrong. There is no e.q. other than the keyboard, no editing, etc.
They should, however, give some insight to the styles on the G70, particular those of a Country nature.
Criticise if you must, I have already listened to them and know what they sound like, so you won't offend me.
This is a direct link to the "secret" page on my website. http://www.donmasonmusic.com/temp%20songs/

Oh and they are pretty large files, 320bps.

You guys are very kind! Thanks. I think next I'll post some songs that aren't country when I get a chance. Just don't have a lot of time right now.

Hey Big D,
This is as good as it gets. Wow, what a great Christmas Present. I've got them all downloaded into my new computer to play for Jann when she gets home. You are still her favorite keyboard vocalist and she has met many in person and heard them but has only heard you on downloads. She is a pretty discriminating musician herself, that is both pretty and discriminating
I am requesting your permission to burn this group of songs to ONE CD for Jann's car. I might have to practice with this new computer so if I happened to burn two and keep one for the motorhome would that be ok too?
Jann's favorite song is Blue Bayou and I know your arrangement is going to knock her out. This is the first time I have ever liked that song. You did it
Thank you so much for sharing your great talent and new G70. Y'all make a super great matched pair.
Would it be ok if I mailed out one or more of these tunes to some of my email list members that are musicians and have a G 70?
Best to you and yours,
Have a great Happy All Next Year,
Make lotsa more great music
Bill

Bebopster: You and your lovely wife are welcome to anything I have.
Anyway, once you put it out there, it's available to all. I'm not going to leave those songs long, as I don't think they are my best work, so get 'em quick!

I know I'm repeating here but you are the master on guitar. Were you a guitar player? And the harmony sounds great on that G70 especially on I ain't as good as I once was. I would swear you had a guitar player singing harmony with you.

YO DON,
Got em all on CD and Jann is loving them and so do I. I am going to make another copy for the motorhome. I wonder if you could or would record one song for us for a lead in to the motorhome CD. We sure would appreciate it if and when you might ever have the time.
The song is Willy's Great tune, "On THE ROAD AGAIN".
We always play that song as we are pulling out of the RV park and "MOVING ON". We like to wake everyone up early in the morning. I am sure they all will just love hearing your song as they are getting out of bed, thinking, WOW, I should be pulling out now too They don't oversleep much when we are around to help them get up
Thanks again good buddy and best to you and yours.

I've known Don for quite a while now. I've heard him play live many times and I can easily say that no one plays intros and endings, country guitar, fiddle, and piano fills better than he does. He does seem to think like a guitar player when using his keyboard. He's also not bad at vamping and stalling while he's trying to remember the chords and words. To top everything off he is also a really nice guy with a pretty good golf game.

The only fault I can find in him is that he won't visit me here in Michigan. He claims it is too cold.

Hey Don
In our eyes (and ears) you are as rich as Rockefeller. Rich with the admiration of your fellow musicians and you cannot buy that
Thanks for the link to a great listening feast.
cheers

Don,
What great entertainment. Your voice, sounds and playing are delightful. I especially love the Blue Bayou arrangement. The Guitar sounds and style are just right
Keep them coming!
