Hello all arranger friends... A customer/friend of mine was on his way home after a gig recently . He had all of gear with him, speakers, mixer, keyboards (one was a Korg I-30) . He was almost home when out of no where, his van backed fired.... very strange for a van to back fire, my friend thought, but he did make it home safely. He got out of his van and walked around his van and discovered that his van did not back fire, there was a bullet hole that went right through the back of his van, and right through his anvil keyboard case and right through his Korg I-30 .... WOW ! True Story ..... ------------------ Ketron, Yamaha, Casio,Roland arranger keyboards. http://www.keyboardcity.net 1-866-348-8876 [This message has been edited by DanO1 (edited 10-09-2005).]

I know the guy this happened to, he told me about it the next day when he was having has van repaired and had the bullet been six inches higher, it would have went through the driver's seat and into his back. As for the keyboard stopping the slug, this was only part of it. The major slowdown of the bullet was the van's rear door. The keyboard's case wouldn't stop any bullet that can easily penetrate a steel van door--the bullet was pretty much spent at the point it entered the keyboard. The incident happened on a rural, country road late at night, probably some idiot kid with a rifle. This just demonstrates how much of the world has gone to hell in a handbasket!
