Never been keen on me board and rock songs but I think the psr3000 is more up to the challange than my old 2000.. New tune.. If you have the time, listen to the 3000...

Wondering if that was an onboard style. I didn't recognize it. But then again I don't do alot of stuff like that.

Did you start gigging or get any speakers yet? The JBL's would be a good choice.

I happened to see the Peavey powered PR12P's are now lighter. Down to 34.5 lbs and pretty inexpensive too.

Beachbum, good vocal. If I were making any comment to improve it, the drums sound weak to me. Tweak that and it would be a lot more lively.

BTW, just as a FYI, I listened on headphones and I hear sporadic distortion. On my recordings, this means the recording signal was too hot. But take that with a grain of salt because my audio setup is not ideal.

Sounds really great. And indeed: 3000 can rock. Is it really the 3000? You must have done some tweaking there! The solo was a surprise - didn't expect that sound at all.

I tell you what.. I'm getting a lot of mileage using the T2 styles on this board.. One thing to watch out for is if you switch styles sometime the sounds will carry over to what ever new styles you’re playing.. I usually have to power off then on to get the true sounds..

drdalet - Yes this is all 3000.. The hardest thing is to pull of a guitar solo on these so I've found solo violin to be good when teamed with a guitar.. I discovered it on the "can't stop playing" tune.. Thought it worked out pretty cool...
As for tweaking the board I leave it at factory setting and flat.. The reason being when you record and then Master I run it through a V equalizer that adds the highs and lows you would tweak if you played live... If you have any questions about technique send'em my way.. Always happy to share what I've learned... Hey 3 years ago when I first started recording my original I use to get flamed on this site... Just inspired me to do better...

Try using the Michael Bedesen program to convert T2 styles to 3k....this will give you better sound assigments.
