hi folks,
while writing my comment in the most recent Roland G-70 thread I thought I might as well add my thoughts on the recent developments in the keyboard market the way I see it, and for what it's worth. As you may read in the G-70 thread I am not really impressed by the latest Roland sibbling, and therefor it is my personal opinion that the best musical purchases at present are simply KORG and YAMAHA. Technics has gone under, Ketron is struggling and getting obsolete too, Roland is trying hard but not convincingly in my opinion, advanced computer arranger set-ups is only appealing to the minority of us here,so we are "stuck"with the Korg and Yamaha range, not a bad thing in itself , cause with the Tyros, PSR3000, PA1X, PA80 and PA50 one can achieve amazing things. If your budget is limited I would advise any musician to go for the PSR3000 + Korg PA50 , which will actually cost you less that buying either the Tyros or the PA1X. If money is no objection , get the two latter two top keyboards and you will be laughing all the way !!! Ah well, there's no accounting for tastes!!!! regards, john

JonnyGunnar, what is the price on that Wersi Ikarus X-1???? I checked out the website, and listened to the MP3's and DAMN!!! The bell and choir voice would jerk a tear from anyone's eyes. That's the most beautiful choir voice I've ever heard on a keyboard. The Grand Piano was also very nice.
