It's about 3:30 Christmas Eve, and I'm getting ready to go to work at the restaurant I've been at for years. Dinner from 5-8:00 PM, then a dinner for the staff and their families. Everything wraps up at 10:00 PM.

Tomorrow, members of a jazz arts group go to a local VA hospitl to play a couple of hours
in the early afternoon.

Who else is playing (church, assisted living, nursing homes or other) Christmas eve/Day?

All the best to everyone...

Russ

In the past, I worked Christmas Eve, but since it's been back2back gigs all month long, THIS year I've RESERVED Christmas Eve & Christmas day spent with my family. A big thanks go out to all of you that have to work on Christmas Eve & Day. Nursing home & assisted living communities will be especially appreciative, as many residents there have NO family to speak of. - Scott

I'm working tonight at the supper club, 7-11,
off tomorrow and then working again Sunday night. Monday I have a Nursing Home and then it starts over again at the club on Tuesday.
The kids will be here tomorrow, so we're looking forward to having a great Christmas!

I had two jobs today (Xmas eve) both at retirement homes...

Off Christmas, but back at it with a double-header at the local Mall on Sunday...

Other than New Year's Eve, nothing till the 7th of January, then back into high gear again. Just in time for a blizard. It has been a grueling Christmas party season, despite the fact that I performed 3 less parties than last season. I must be gittin' old!

I just got in from "work". My schedule has changed a little. Now I'm working EVERY night through next Friday, plus a couple of Nursing Home things during the day.
I'm not complaining though. You have to work when they offer to pay you!
Merry Christmas again.

I did a cushy house party till 11:45, then ran to midnight Mass before comimg home to get dinner started for tomorrow's feast! We'll be running in two shifts between houses with the kids, so we can each see them open their gifts at the same time....it's kinda nice that way.
I took some time off - nothing till Tuesday night, then straight on through, and into the new year.

It's 2AM, the house is quiet, kids and dogs are asleep...I'm sitting, watching the lights twinkle on the tree .... in total silence. Shhhhhhhh........... Don;t wake me !

Merry Christmas everyone!

Well....it's almost 9PM, Christmas night, and the last of the kids have come and gone. It's quiet once again, the dishes are done, and I have all day tomorrow to do NOTHING!!!!! NOTHING !!!!!!!!(yay me)

Ahhh....... one more week, then NYE, and then I get into a more regular schedule that may even include some regular sleeping hours!

Merry Christmas!
