Hi Everyone,
Can somebody suggest a style for the song "House of the Raising Sun" to use with my 2000? I remember the 510 that I had and that had a great style, running bass lines , the whole thing, but I can`t seem to find a style that works realy well.
Thank you all for your help

Hey I noticed that the Music Data Base on my PSR-550 has a song called "Rising Sun". It uses the 6/8 blues style. Hope this helps..

Jedi,

I use '6-8Blues' at 80bpm for that tune. Works GREAT with the associated OTS setttings: blues harp, bright piano, jazz organ1, and growl sax

Btw, I suggest you download and install the following updated Music Finder database. It includes "House of The Rising Sun' with the above style/settings:

hey Squeek,
Sounds like the PSR2000 & PSR550 may use the (same/similar) 6-8blues style.

I think they just might..... I noticed that there are several styles on my PSR-550 that came directly from the original DJX....

Hi squeak,
No "rising sun" in my "music finder" :confussed: you would think it would have the same? Anyway I did try the 6/8 blues you suggested it works "ok" but I realy miss the style that I had with my 510. It`s wierd it was like that one style was meant to be used with "House of the Rising Sun" only I mean all the parts fit not just the bass but rhythm , acc. every thing, If you tried to use it with another song, it just wouldn`t "fit" O-well that`s Yamaha Thank you for your help
jedi

Thanks Scott, I`ll give the 6/8 another try

The file Scott refers to above, will straighten out all the cryptic titles.
The exact style off the 510 is available from another keyboard. I can't remember offhand which one it was, but I have it somewhere. No time to look right now--I'm off to work. I'll look LATE tonight.
