Frankie, That's actually one saving grace that the 2100 has going for it in my setup. I used to hate not being able to plan the next tune while playing in a different format. I suspect that it may be similar to the PA series though. Let's wait and see !

I think it is possible (I'm not 100% sure though) The PA1Xpro has two separate sequencers and you can use/play seq-A while looking for another song on seq-B.
I expect the same for using styles.
And ...... be honest... who wants to use midi's on stage with an SD1 ?

I feel midi files are the end result of song done on a arranger saved and played back later.
anyway, i don't think the pa80 could do it but the tyros could, unfortuntaley i am spoiled with the sd1 and am looking at the korg, but if it is set up like the sd1, i probably will wait for a roland or soemthing
I expect very few people will leave Ketron SD1 for the new PA1XPro. I'm spoiled too and tried the PA1Xpro for several hours.... I'll stay loyal to Ketron for sure !

The dual sequencers will, in fact let you set up SEQ#2 while playing SEQ#1, but until someone confirms it .... I doubt that the styles can be accessed during SEQ mode. It hasn't been possible so far in the PA series.

So I guess the Pa1X PRO can NOT do what you want??? JJ has not bothered to answer your post and he is one of only about 2 people on the planet that own the Pa1X PRO at the present. He would be the one to know whether it can or can't. I guess all the information on the Korg PA site about the Pa1X PRO doesn't mention it huh?
JJ, where are you when we need you? The gentleman has a question about the Pa1X PRO for you... ^.
The Pa1X PRO would be a new contender to supplement the SD1 if it does what you want it to do. I think you may find the Yamaha PSR 9000 PRO a worthy contender too. You want 76 Keys, right? Both the Pa1X PRO and PSR 9000 PRO have 76 Keys. The Tyros has 61 Keys.
Best regards, Mike

there was no rush, i figured if any one they could let me know, I'm not mad,
currently i have the sd1 and the tyros.
the tyros is great for the op system but alot of the styles seem to lack the realism that the sd1 has, and seems a little thin in the overall sound, not thin bad but thin different then what I am used to on the sd1.
and the styles seemed to be geared in a different diretions as the sd1, korg and roland are.
Does anybody know where top notch styles can be had for the Tyros?
