thanks for all your ideas- i will ck out the box (cheap, too!), and try to find "cover your ax" company- the alarm sounds interesting and perhaps entertaining for the dog as well (loves to see kitty run)! i would like to provide an area for kitty to be comfortable and my keyboard safe- it took so long to find one i liked-
when i spoke with yamaha today- i told them you all had fixed my problemm- the guy said he was reading my post as we spoke and you all were really a great source for information and help- man i sure agree with that- thanks again!!!!!!!

Another way to keep the cat off the keyboard is to insert a small piece of lead between the cats ears.
A gun will do this nicely.
