Does anybody have any knowledge as to what keyboard outperforms the other?

Doesn't the Korg cost about 1200 dollars more than the psr 3000?

Only your ears and fingers can tell you which performs better (for you!). This is one of those scary questions like 'which religion is best' that you can only decide for yourself.

But Mike is right... the Korg is way more expensive, and has (unexpectedly!) more functionality, a sampler, extensive voice editing, etc., etc.. Pay even more, and you will get even MORE sounds and functions... But whether they are better for you is up to you to decide.

Another thing to consider is that the PA800 is new, whereas the PSR 3000 is being discontinued to be replaced with the S900.

Bill is right. The right question is have will the PA800 compare to the S900.

Even that is an 800 dollar difference according to the conversion I found on the web. And I think when the S900 comes out worldwide the street price will be less.
I just think there is too much of a price difference to compare the two boards fairly. You can always say for a few dollars more I can have this or that feature.

I own a PSR3000 + Korg PA50. During the past seven days we have attended a keyboard festival where I played the Pa800 on my reference headphones every night for the seven days between evening concerts. Some nights an hour at a time which gave me a good insight to how this board performs.

This is of cause my personal opinion, but the 800 is outstanding and is up there with E80 & T2 even at its lower price.
The Korg demonstrator rated it now better than the PA1X with more advanced voicing etc:.
I'm not one to be easily impressed but I have ordered one.

Graham......or others.....How is on board harmonizer on the Korg PA 800? That is of particular interest to me; especially after the awful disappoinment when I purchased my Tyros1 yrs ago expecting to use the built-in mike for harmony. Instead I have a rack mountable Digitech velcroed to my TryosKB. It sounds great, but potentially looking at a new instrument I do not want to be disappointed again if at all possible
