Gig Disk #5--Need some input...

I have two days on my calendar next week that don't have either a music job (gig) or writing assignment penciled in, something rare these days. Therefore, I decided to begin work on another gig disk, but before I start wading through the style-file achives, I wanted some input from everyone on the type of music they prefer. I'm an old guy (62), therefore, I really enjoy a lot of the big-band, swing, jazz, doo-wap, 60s, and 70s stuff. I'm open to any and all suggestions and hope to hear from many of you before I begin #5. You can either post your suggestions here, or email them to me at gary_diamond@hotmail.com
Don't be bashful! I really do need your input.
Cheers,
Gary

I've been thinking along the same lines, and fortunately, I have a boat load of great latin styles. Hope to have it done sometime next week.
Thanks guys,
Gary

I'll probably dedicate #6 to big band, jazz and blues styles Dave. By popular demand, it looks like #5 will be just latin.
Thanks for input,
Gary

Well, I'm halfway there on #5. Put 16 songs on the disk last night and hit the sheets about 1 a.m.. with luck, I should be able to finish the disk by tomorrow night, then it will take a day or two to get it posted.
Cheers,
Gary

Because the styles are generic .sty style files, they should work on nearly any keyboard that can read .sty styles. However, some of the folks with psr-740 yamaha keyboards had to remove the One Touch Settings (OTS) in order to make them work and prevent keyboard lock-up. I've been told they worked well with both the Tyros and 9000 pro with no modifications. The best way to tell is download disks 1 through 4 from www.psrtutorial.com and give them a try. Some of those files were from my archives which also included Technics. Good Luck, Gary

I just finished Gig Disk #5 and sent it to Joe Waters at www.psrtutorial.com to be posted. I still have to type up the index and when I do I post it here as well. Enjoy guys and gals--it's "Just Latin." Here's the song list that I just sent to Joe Waters: Begin The Beguine Brazil Conga Copa Cabana Desafinado Devil Woman Ferry Cross the Mersey Girl from Epanema Green Eyes Hotel California I Can See Clearly I Just Called to Say I Love You Island in the Sun It's Now or Never Knock Three Times Limbo Rock Livin' Lavida Loca Memories Are Made of this Mona Lisa Never on a Sunday Night and Day No Other Love Old Black Magic Patricia Return to Me Some Enchanted Evening Tangerine Under the Boardwalk Volcano When You Dance You'll Never Find Another Love like Mine Cheers, Gary [This message has been edited by travlin'easy (edited 04-23-2003).]

Well guys and gals, Gig Disk #5 is ready to download at www.psrtutorial.com and I'll be starting on #6 in about two weeks. By popular demand, #6 will be comprised of big band, swing and jazz songs. Enjoy #5 and let me know if you have some favorites songs for the next disk. Cheers, Gary
