Since when? All the Stagea in the UK have been imported direct from Japan or Asia, Yamaha always saying that there is not enough demand for them to be imported into Europe.
If they have started importing them, then this will make a lot of people very happy, so the question is where do you get them from?

This is not not new info; it's at least a year old. I saw it online last summer. I think for some of us baby boomers, an all-in-one double keyboard brings back memories of earlier days. For myself, I'd love to see a double keyboard with arranger, orchestrator, harmonizer, SMF functions. Nord has one (C1) and I think I should look more closely at it.

Of course, we all want our favorite instruments configured this way. Who might do this, and what might they load into it. I think it's a great idea whose time has come again.

These are the vital organ statistics for the US.

In it's hay day, there were 250,000 home organs sold in the US in 1975.

By about 1989 it was about 18,000.

The census taken last year showed 6,900. Most of those I'm sure were sold through Fletcher Music Centers in Florida and Arizona where the senior market is still good, in some areas.

I used one of those either a ME-50 or 55 just like you. I bought that and a Peavey, KB300 was it, heavier than anything, louder than hell, but what an ugly sound. The guy had bought it from a blind guy that used the stuff that way. It was in the Clearwater area, maybe you know who it was.

I used the ME-55, a Technics KN400 and a Roland E35. It sounded good though .

I have long waited for the day that someone would manufacture a combo controller, but with 88 weighted on the bottom, and 76 plastic on the top...

But the main thing is to be able to get the manuals as close together as they are on organs. It is very hard to make accurate jumps from one keyboard to the next when they have to be physically separated so far vertically, because all the controls for the lower keyboard are above the keybed and the top keyboard obscures them.

They could even make it in two snap together parts for easier transport... Dual sets of sliders for the top keyboard to control each separately, some pads like the Fantoms for drum sounds and loops, maybe a nice big Kurzweil-style touch strip....

I'd pay good money for one of those...
