Donny, you asked for it...from my early years on...Early teens, Build model airplanes and fly[crash] them, I also liked to draw as a teenager[I was pretty good,took after my Mother]...From my senior year in high school till my mid 30's I was into muscle cars and drag racing[ I actually went 3 years without a lost[150+ trophies] and was a NJ state champion twice..In my early 30's I Raced Motocross for a couple of years..All my life I have participated in sports, I love basketball and actively play in competitive games[leagues],although this year I finally skipped the season...My hobby now is watching my grandkids do what I use to do...

I do other stuff as well, besides flying and skating, but after a lifetime of being intellectual - designing electronics, writing software, lecturing and stuff, it's nice to have a rest from all that. Still, the experience comes in handy. After damaging my knee skating, I built myself a TENS unit to relieve the pain and help repair the damage. Cost me 20 bucks - better than paying $200 at the medical supply. I also have an ulterior motive for making a second post. I'm checking out a couple of new modems so I thought I'd pop up and make a post or two.

Aside from family (I LOVE spending time with my bride of almost 40 years, our kids and grandkids), my 3 GREAT passions are music, golf, and cooking, and whichever one I am doing at the time is the one I love the most... I enjoy singing, playing the kn6000 and recording my performances, and then critiquing them ... like Simon on American Idol ....
I love to just go into the kitchen, see what's available and create something with it ...Unfortunately, Lydia is such a good cook, I've got a lot of competition in the house...
I've told her that the next $15M we don't know what to do with, I'm going to redo the kitchen with a 'professional' stove and oven ....Saturday night (since the family was going to brunch for Mother's Day) I made dinner for the two of us.... grilled veal chops marinated in white wine, garlic, shallots, olive oil, lemon, thyme,; a portabello mushroom/onion sauce with shallots and garlic, with a white wine reduction and a dash of cream; red bliss mashed potatoes with parmigiano cheese; and a bottle of Kendall-Jackson Pinot Noir ... nice ...

Other than that I really enjoy landscaping and gardening around the house ....
Starkeeper: especially living in the North East USA, if I had to live off my own produce I would weigh less than my kn6
I also enjoy photography ... mostly scenery, flowers, etc.
If the 401k ever gets back to where it was, and I can actually retire from the day job, I will find PLENTY to keep me busy ....

Seems that fishing is a winner habit here... well, while my dad is still a smart fisher, I am not.

On the other side I am a very fast reader.. some kind of natural gift, so I read a lot in my free time. While I read almost everything my preference goes to thriller.
