When visibility is compromised...I rely more on fewer settings and more midifiles or MP3 backings. (or my MD's too)
I discourage all outddor parties, but when they are too attractive to pass up - I make sure I'm in complete shade, and I can even slide my laptop over the screen to shade the viewing area. It normally sits to the left of the screen, but I just slide the KB a few inches left and the screen falls under the laptop's shade.

I wore sunglasses once, only to find that the screen almost disappeared ! I couldn't wear them at all. i thought the contrast button was busted !

For my comfort level ... I need to stay INDOORS. I don't sweat well, and I just don't like the bugs, dirt and other distractions from nature.
Unfortunatly, many of my higher priced clients love to entertain on their patios, near pools etc, so I wind up playing WAY more than I want to each year. Sigh.....
It's a living ....
