Hi All,
While tempars are flaring and temperatures rising, have a listen to this song i just recorded on my new T2 and please post your comments. its a little bit rough but its my first recording on this new keyboard. I am still getting use to Super Articulation dynamics.
lately there seems to be more arguing and fighting instead of posting and listening to music from the awesome arrangers that we own.
Hi there Nick. Thanks for posting a song, nice to see you've found the hard drive recorder already in a few days of receiving your T2. Keep up the good work m8

Nick: Nice start on your new T2. The Concert Guitar sound sure is fun to play. I enjoyed the tone and the feel in the start. Towards the middle/end I was wishing that you had changed things up a little. Perhaps a variation of the accompaniment (something besides the arppegiated chords). Look forward to hearing more.
Hi Robert, Nick wasn't using any accompaniment for the chords, no style was used, it's him playing the left hand parts and lead line totally live with no overdubbing etc.

Great job Nick!
I love to hear the Tyros 2 guitars. I think that you are getting a very good handle on the Super Articulation. I thought it funny that someone thought it was an arpeggio guitar track. That should say something about how well you did it. Congrats on the new Tyros 2, keep sharing

Hey Nick. Impressive Tyros2 guitar emulation of this John Williams Classic. Beautifully played with just the right amt of guitar efx (squeak) included.
With all the Yamaha keyboard bashing going on here again lately (claiming it "inferior" ), it's really refreshing to finally enjoy quality music. The proof's in the pudding afterall.
Between work & playing your T2, hope you're finding enough time for sleep. I'll talk 2u on Skype l8tr today.

I have a T2 and use the Concert Guitar sound all the time. I knew he was playing it all by himself with no styles.
My comment was for him to change things up for what he was playing solo. I thought his left hand (arpegiated chords) was nice to start but given the length of the piece he needed some variety as the song went on. As example, he could have used some rolled chords, played some melody without chords, or used a left-hand comp such as play and hold bottom note of the chord and play top two notes of the chord in a rhythm. These would all have been possible variations without changing the sound.
Nick......It sounds like your off to a very good start.....that is a beautiful song masterfully performed on a superior instrument!! I wish you much luck & hope to hear many more!!

Thank you very much for the positive replies, this was a peice I had to perform 2 years ago for one of my grade exams for Classical Piano.
I have been longing to play that song on a good guitar sound on a keyboard ever since! and now I have done it on the T2
I will be posting more music soon too so stay tuned
I have had the T2 for 4 days now and have had on average 6 hours sleep each night and about 5-6 hours playing each night as well This board is so much fun and makes anything possible!
I appreciated everyone for taking the time to download and listen, thanks again
Nick

Outstanding........ the first section would fool most guitarists! No doubt about it, those SA voices are the shiznit!
Now if only Yamaha would put them in a module, the line would go 'round the block! Tyros2 players are so lucky...... most other arrangers by the big manufacturers are a step DOWN from their top-of-the-line workstations, but Tyros2 players have access to voices and technology the MotifES players can only dream of...... Finally, a justification for an arranger costing a lot more than a workstation!

An arranger is just a tool. What matters is what you build with it..!
Nick, i listend it ten times!!!! Its one of my fav tune.Could someone tell me the exact name of this tune. Nick....u gave me my dose and let me add u r one of the guys who r doin justice to SA sounds. Live long.
Hi shakeel The name of this song is Cavatina and was also the theme to The Deer Hunter. I think John Williams did the original guitar arrangement for this and it has been covered by many artistes, possibly The Shadows being the latest?
