Why did so many of us become juniors? I wasn't one after the big crash so why suddenly now?

Chony, I'm afraid the reason you got moved back to 'junior' status is because: all synthzone postings made here, between March & August got COMPLETELY & PERMANENTLY wiped out as a result of the recent Synthzone server crash a couple of weeks ago. The only reason my member status wasn't affected is because I already got too many posts (4,896 , and that's NOT including the March-Aug postings) under my belt here.

Anyway, whatever postings members made between March & Aug are no longer reflected in our posting totals. Since your user registration date is: 3-10-04, you'll have to remain at junior member status again until either: you make a suficient number of posting to gain 'member' status again (I forgot the total required number now, perhaps someone else remembers), or convince Nigel to re-instate your 'member' status again manually. Either way, you've certainly been a valuable actively participating member here in my book. - Scott

Just make a few 'thanks for whatever' posts and you'll be back before you know it. I think it's 25 or 30 posts and you're a senior again.

PS: Btw considering that some here have thousands of posts to their names, 25 - 30 seems pretty paltry. Maybe there should be more ranks - that would be cool and encourage more participation!

which all goes to prove fairly conclusively that 'Status' is a richly guarded position for most.
I have never strived for status but hopefully I can remain a 'Junior' for as long as I am around! because I am not too pleased that youngsters these days call me 'Mister Johnson'
