My Mic stand tilting mechanisim plastic bolt stripped. I put a new bolt and had a small steel handle welded to the bolt. It still won't stay in place it gradually goes down even though it is tighened to the max. I use the stand to the left side of the keyboard.
Are there any stands you pros recommend for under $50? Or do I have to buy one of the $100+ stands to be satisfied?
Boo Thanks again

Boo,
I Never paid more than $40 for a mic stand, or boom attachment. You do not have to spend $100 for both even !
Get a new one at any store, and it will last you a long time.

Boo,

If you are talking about a boom type of stand it sounds like there is too much space in the clamp area. I would cement a rubber washer on the clamp. This should give it enough grip to stay put.

Of course if I were a wealthy brick mason I'd just hire someone to hold the mic, preferably a good looking blond female.

Fran...
Do you always drape your arms in leis?

If Michael had thought of that he never would have tried that one glove signature thing.
