Hi all,

I just did my instrumental interpretation of "Just The Two Of Us" on a Tyros 2(HD). This was played live to 2 track stereo(in the Ty2).

I used style Classic16Beat. I did not use the harmony button feature. It was recorded as a .wav file in the Ty2. I then converted it to an mp3(192 kbs)using itunes.

No other outside effects, instrumentation or editing was used. This one took me two takes. The first time I went to record I selected the 'wrong" ending for how I wanted to end the tune.

Hope you enjoy!

Excellent job, Chris. If I may make one critical observation - personally I would like to hear a little less of the velocity curves. The piano is very recognizable and i probably would have used it too, but I think a little less on the velocity curve would really mellow that out and give it that Joe Sample / Dave Grusin sound.

Otherwise, very pleasant and exceptionally well done. No need for vocals when you play a song that well.

Beautifully played, Chris...terrific improv.

The Ac.Guitar was a tad distorted, but otherwise a superb rendition of a great song.

Another great song played with a lot of taste; I liked also your choice of sounds. This song should be listened to by all those who criticize the Tyros 2 drums and compare them with -say- Ketron. I have a Midjay and really wish its drums could sound so crisp.

Thanks for taking the time to listen to the song. I appreciate the feedback.

Tony,

I didn't play LH bass. When I'm using an arranger KB, I set it to fingering and play chords.

Thanks again!

Chris

Hi Chris. that was excellent. Love the choice of sounds that you used for the right hand solos. You play very well and there are some sweet lick in there. As a suggestion you might want to take out some of the accompaniment guitar as it does sound a little overbearing in the piece but i wouldnt change much else. The great thing about arrangers is that you could substitute different instruments , drums, bass sound etc even style in seconds and completely remix this tune. Well done my friend , impressive work as ever.

Drat! Has it been taken down?
I was looking forward to hearing another performance from you Chris but think I'm too late. Didn't find this one on "your space"
