Hi, Before i purchased PSR-3000,i used to play PSR-740 as it sounds very impressive even at higher volume. The sounds are clean and melodious.I even played PSR-2000 and PSR-2100 and the sounds are just like PSR-3000 and i was impressed only with the styles,as they sounded better than previous keyboards such as 740,730 etc.My psr-3000 won't sound good at higher volume. But after hearing the sounds of Tyros-2,i noticed lot of improvement in the sound quality as i heard same audio quality in S-500 and s-900.I think same chip is used in all the new keyboards Tyros2,s-900,s-500.The other useful features in s-900 is Registration bank up/down buttons, very useful for live playing and we can select voices/styles with the data entry dial without pressing buttons and dedicated buttons for harmony, touch, sustain and DSP. I think S-900 is a great keyboard for those who are dreaming about Tyros2 and cannot afford buying it.
