...I've set up a free Yahoo Group for potential clients, friends, family, etc to vist and listen to some of my work.

Everyone from this board is invited to visit by going to:

...If you're not a yahoo member, all you'll need to do is register (its free) and then join my group. The songs can be found under the FILE section.

...Most of the long term members will find most of these songs familar...I'll be adding a few from a recent live performance soon.

2 things to make sure of:

1) You have a Yahoo! ID...

2) You join my BCDemos Group...

When I looked at just now, I don't see either of you as registered members...

..I just joined my group with a secondary screen name I use from time to time, it worked just fine.

Let me know if you still have problems...

What's your registration info? I want to confirm you've actually joined my group.

Having a Yahoo! screen name is only half the process. You MUST join my group to be able to access the files...

I checked your registration info...It looks good. You are cleared to have access (as everyone is by a default setting)to my audio files...

Same thing happened to me.

Once you get it fixed, if you're going to use these demos for clients, I'm thinking you may want to make this a public forum where people don't have to register because some people may not want to register. Just a thought.

It'll be interesting to see how the Yahoo site works for you as I had considered starting one of these myself.

My group is set for open membership...so anyone should be able to join...and have full privelidges...(Which obviously they don't)

Hey Bill, you asked for ideas. I have an idea, heehee. Scrap it. I hate Yahoo groups. There are many free places to put songs but Yahoo groups is last on my list. JMO, maybe it's good for others.

How did I fix it? I don't understand, we may have a miscommunication here.

I registered but was unable to hear the files.

What I was referring to was that some Yahoo sites you need to register for and others which are listed as public or something like that you don't have to register and have all the same features as on the ones that require registration.

I only do original music, so, now that I think about that, as far as cover songs go... hmmm... you might have to check each site's rules. Because some of them, you must be the copyright holder. Anyway, for original music (and maybe covers is okay, not sure)...

Possibly the largest but from time to time, their server is down. Unlimited uploads for free, I think. But if always being functional is priority, not acceptable. Hugely popular but their server issues are not good, IMO.
