Tho I'm not a pro or gigging musician, I do enjoy the latest quality and technology keyboard manufacturers throw at us. Hence, I sold my PSR3000 and ordered a PSR-S900. (As a hobbyist/church music director, I can't justify the cost of a T2 or a G70, etc) But I really appreciated the bang for the buck the 3000 offered and now look forward to the S900. After testing one out at Sam Ash ($1599), I called around and found one for substantially less and placed my order. Delivery some time in Oct.
They'll be alot of sleepless nites waiting for the S900 to arrive in its new home.... should be a perfect fit coming from the 3k.....good luck & keep us posted !

A very nice upgrade, if I do say so myself...I got an S900 a few months ago...very pleased with the new SA voices and the Audio to USB recorder, plus all the other goodies.
Congratulations...I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

hey Tim, congrats on the upgrade. I'm confident you're going to really appreciate the S900's important new & enhanced features.
My favorites being:
1) SA Voices 2) Text Lyric Display 3) Built In Digital Audio Recorder to USB Stick
Above all, is the Yamaha user friendly interface & largest arr community of free software & support, allowing you to create record music on it from the day you receive your keyboard. Happy keyboarding.

Ian,
Thanks for your reponse. It's the SA voices that won me over. Having realistic right hand solo voices are very important to me. The SA ac.guitars are amazingly realistic to my ear. Gotta love it.

Scott, you're absolutely right about that. I have found the Yamaha community quite amazing. When you buy the instrument, it opens the door to a whole new world that goes far beyond your original purchase...and that's priceless.
And speaking of priceless - Scott, thanks for your contribution to this forum and beyond. You are one of many whom I've come to appreciate and admire over the years I've been here. I am always blown away by the talent represented here in the SZ community.

Good move, Tim - from one great keyboard to another and with very little adjustment needed to move up. I'm still trying to justify my G70 to myself, even though it's a great board too. If you like Yamaha, you've gotten one of the best, at a good price. For those who think you should have gotten something else -
